BENJI IS AVAILABLE FOR MEETS/PRE-ADOPTION. HE CANNOT LEAVE THE RESCUE THOUGH UNTIL MARCH 15th APPROXIMATELY. (Due to a recent dental)

Benji is an adorable Morkie who came to us after his owner passed away. He is 4 1/2 years old and just a tiny guy. He weighs about 7lbs. He holds his own with the dogs at the rescue and even initiates play. He loves toys and playing fetch as well. Like many tiny dogs his teeth were awful and have since been cleaned. He's also neutered, microchipped and vaccinated He's quiet (not barky) but attentive and playful. He wants to sleep in bed with you and snuggle and will follow you everywhere. Benji is not totally housebroken and while he uses the dog door he also pees in the house sometimes. We use a belly band (male wrap/diaper) if we can't watch him and he's not crated.

Benji is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.

Benji 's adoption fee is $400

This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest.
