Alba is a 2 1⁄2-year-old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix with a heart as big as her journey. She came to Pet Rescue by Judy through one of our wonderful rescue partners. We work closely with dedicated street dog guardians in Puerto Rico, and Alba made the flight to Central Florida in search of her forever home.
This sweet girl has already been through so much and is ready to start her next chapter. Alba is about 2 1⁄2 years old and has a gentle, loving personality. She does pretty well on a leash and is potty trained, which is a great start for her new family.
Her foster in Puerto Rico shared that Alba can be a bit of a daredevil! She sometimes likes to jump off the arm of the couch or even leap right out of your arms. While it can be surprising, this likely stems from her “fight or flight” instincts from surviving on the streets. Because of this, Alba will need a patient, attentive owner who can help her learn safer habits and build her confidence in a secure home environment.
