Yorkshire Terrier and Bichon Frise Dogs Available for Adoption

Sherlock is a 6 month old Yorkie/Bichon puppy. He weighs 13 lbs. He was part of a breeder release Heart assisted another rescue with. He is still unsure of people but doing well with his foster mom and is now learning about snuggling. He’s a very happy and energetic puppy! Plays with toys and the other pup he goes out with. Gets along well with other dogs. However, he is going to still be afraid of new people at this time. NOT aggressive at all! Just skittish. He will require a leash attached when he’s not in his kennel so he can be handled without chasing, as that would cause more fear. It should not take him long to feel comfortable in a new home with a loving and patient family, as deep down he does want to be interacted with. He’s starting to get more comfortable being led on leash, but continuing to work more on that. He is not potty trained, but showing progress.
He will require a home with a secure fence and a schedule allowing for fairly frequent potty breaks for potty training.
He will be tested with a child this coming week. He has not been tested with cats, but can arrange that if needed. He will require grooming as his fur grows. He will have his vetting done this coming week and ready to meet his family shortly after that. Sherlock’s adoption fee is $300. Applications can be submitted at www.heartrescueteam.com.
