Choji is an almost 4-year-old Yorkie Poo who weighs about 9 pounds, and this little fluff nugget is equal parts sidekick and social butterfly. He’s friendly, outgoing, happy, and very devoted to his people. If you’ve ever wanted a tiny shadow with excellent hair, Choji is ready to clock in.
He’s working on crate training. With patience and a few tasty bribes, he’ll go in, though he may protest with some yapping if he knows people are home. He will sleep in a crate at night if it’s next to your bed, but lately he’s been enjoying the freedom of snoozing wherever he pleases. Expect him to rotate between your bed, the floor, and any available teenager’s room like a tiny, fluffy night watchman.
Choji’s exercise needs are simple. He enjoys time in the yard, running around the house, and playing with toys. He even plays ball by himself, which is objectively adorable. He likes to sit in your lap, follow you from room to room, chew on a good toy, and play fetch. He does pull a little on leash and can jump up on people when he’s excited.
He’s good with small dogs and strangers and has only been around teenagers so far, but we think he would likely do well with respectful children. Choji would do well in just about any home environment. He does have some mild separation anxiety and prefers to be near his person whenever possible, so a family that is home more often than not would be ideal.
If you’re looking for a playful, loving, very portable best friend who thinks being near you is the best hobby of all, Choji may be your guy. His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
