Yellow Labrador Retriever and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Kira is a 1-year-old Lab mix weighing about 40 pounds - the perfect petite size for anyone who loves Lab personality in a slightly smaller frame. With her lanky legs, oversized floppy ears, and constantly happy expression, she turns heads everywhere she goes.
Her name, Kira, means "sparkle" in Japanese - and it couldn't fit her better. This sweet, goofy girl truly sparkles with joy. She has a lighthearted, playful spirit and a friendly nature that makes her easy to love.
Kira is dog-friendly and makes friends quickly with other pups. She's also wonderful with people and enjoys being part of the action. Smart and eager, she takes direction well and shows great potential in training. Like most young dogs, she's still working on her manners, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, she's going to shine even brighter.

Kira is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $300.

Kira is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She will graduate from Paws in Prison on 4/18/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.

For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.
