OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Backstory:
Shelby is a beautiful, light tan and white Lab mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. She is the perfect blend of calm companionship and quiet devotion.

Shelby came into rescue as an owner surrender after her beloved person passed away. It’s clear she once had a home filled with love, and now she’s patiently waiting for her second chance. Shelby is not food aggressive, not destructive, and not a flight risk. She handles touch beautifully and truly just wants to be near her people. With her calm temperament, she could live in an apartment, though she would love a home with a yard where she can peacefully lounge in the sunshine.

Shelby doesn’t need another dog in the home, but she’s happy to coexist with respectful furry friends. More than anything, she’s looking for a family who will cherish her as deeply as she will cherish them. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key companion who will happily join you for a stroll, a car ride, or a cozy night on the couch, Shelby might just be your perfect match. After losing the only home she knew, Shelby is ready to love again.
