Micha is a 4-year-old wire-haired terrier mix with an incredible story of resilience. He was found as a puppy in a box on the side of a Houston freeway alongside his sister, who sadly didn’t survive. Since then, Micha has overcome so much and grown into a strong, loving, and energetic dog who’s ready for his forever home.
Micha isn’t just any dog—he’s a true working dog at heart. He thrives on activity, purpose, and adventure. Once we understood his needs, he absolutely blossomed. He loves the outdoors and is happiest when he’s moving—whether that’s hiking trails, exploring nature, or swimming at the river. He even learned to kayak and is a confident, skilled swimmer!
One of Micha’s favorite things in the world is… balls. He loves them so much that he started sneaking oranges off the table to add to his “ball collection”—his quirky personality will definitely keep you smiling.
Micha’s Ideal Home:
An active, experienced dog owner who understands high-energy, working breeds
A home where he can be the only pet (no cats)
Someone who can give him daily exercise, structure, and attention
The Good Stuff:
Potty trained & crate trained
Knows commands: sit, stay, recall, and even walks between your legs
Great on leash and not typically dog-reactive (but prefers to be the only pet at home)
Excellent in the car—he’ll happily go anywhere with you
Super affectionate—after a good run, he’s all about cuddles and kisses
Micha is athletic and loves to jump—he can clear up to 5 feet when going after a ball! Because of this, he may need a little guidance navigating tight indoor spaces or obstacles like vacuums or mops.Micha has come so far and deserves a person of his own—someone who will give him the active, loving life he’s been waiting for.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adventure with you by day and snuggle with you by night, Micha might just be your perfect match.
