DESCRIPTION

Winnie is a 6-year-old terrier mix with a big personality packed into one adorable pup. She’s been doing great in her foster home and is ready to find a forever family of her own. Winnie may be shy at first, but she’s come a long way and is learning to trust. Once she feels safe, she’s curious, lively, and very loving. She enjoys being close to her people and continues to grow more confident every day. She’s settling in well and thrives in a calm, patient environment. She gets along with other dogs but also loves being the center of attention with her person. Winnie is kennel trained and does well when left alone. Winnie is playful and energetic. She loves toys—and like many terriers, she may “borrow” things like shoes or remotes for fun. She’ll do best with plenty of toys and activities to keep her busy. She also loves to go for walks. Winnie would do best with a patient family who will give her time to build trust. Since she is still learning to trust humans, she might do best in a home without children. She enjoys other dogs but likes to be in charge, especially at mealtime, so feeding her separately works best. She is curious about cats. Why You’ll Love Winnie: Sweet and brave Playful and full of personality Loves to cuddle Kennel trained Making great progress and ready for her forever home Winnie is ready for her next chapter—could it be with you? I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Teresa, by text at (719) 310-1694 to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond. Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.

A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.

For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.

After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.
