Meet Duke, neutered male, about 11 months old (still a puppy)
Location: South Surrey, BC
Duke is a neutered male West Highland White Terrier (Westie), estimated DOB April 4, 2025. He is currently about 11.5 months old (almost 1 year) and weighs 4.5 kg (10 lbs). He is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DHPP).
Duke is a high-energy, typical boy puppy. He is playful, a little wild, and always on the go. He will require daily exercise, ongoing training, and an active lifestyle.
He is potty trained with occasional accidents, as expected for his age.
Duke gets along well with other dogs and does great with children. He has not been tested with cats. No food guarding observed.
He is leash trained and crate trained, though he prefers not to be crated and would do best in a home that does not rely on crate use.
Duke loves toys and is very people-oriented. He enjoys being around his humans, may look for you when you leave, and can bark briefly, but does not show separation anxiety.
🏡 Ideal Home
• Active household with time for daily walks, play, and engagement
• Committed to ongoing training, structure, and boundaries
• Someone home enough to provide attention and interaction throughout the day
• Previous dog experience strongly preferred, especially with terrier or high-energy breeds
⚠️ Not a Good Fit For
• Low-activity or “easy companion dog” households
• Homes looking for a low-maintenance or calm lap dog
• First-time owners without time for training and management
• Households unable to provide consistent routine and stimulation
📌 Please Note
Duke is a young working-type terrier in a small body — not a low-effort or low-energy dog. He will need time, patience, and consistency, especially during this adolescent stage.
We are prioritizing homes that understand the needs of active, high-energy dogs and are ready to invest in his continued development.
