Pete aka "Pistol Pete" has been through some dreadful times. He was brought into the shelter with two broken back femurs. The shelter saw the sweetness in him, and he was immediately transferred to a foster home for surgery and recovery. His foster mom reports that every person who has been with him has reported him as the sweetest dog. He must have had this injury for quite a while because he is a master acrobat cruising around on his two front feet! Now that he has moved past the hardest part of his recovery, he is using those back legs. He may always have a slight limp, but he will have a full recovery, and will not let this injury set him back.ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals.
