Legend was brought into the rescue after being surrendered to Wake County Animal Shelter for showing aggression to a 5 year old child. He was saved just in time- on his final hold date in the shelter. He is roughly 1.5 years old 8 lbs and completely vetted.
He seems to be a happy little guy that walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and does well in the car. More than anything, Legend wants to be held. He is desperate for attention and can get underfoot-- creating a tripping hazard if you aren't careful. Legend hasn't shown any aggression to rescue volunteers-- we think that he needs an owner experienced with little dogs and a home without small children. His current foster home has teens.
He can be a bit picky with food, but loves treats (especially cat treats). He will show interest in a squeaky toy if someone throws it for him.
Legend is interested in other dogs and seems to get along with them well. If another dog is barking, he will join into the song.
The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application!
