Weimaraner Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Buddy, a 5 year old Weimaraner weighing 74 pounds who is full of personality and charm. He can be sweet and affectionate, but is always curious and alert to what’s going on around him. Buddy loves to supervise the household activities.

Buddy is a very enthusiastic walker and would benefit from some continued leash training to polish his manners. He gets along well with older children, other dogs, and cats, making him a great fit for an active and loving home. Buddy needs a secure, large fenced in area to run around while supervised or an active family who will bring him on any and all adventures that are planned (he would love some hiking adventures!)

With his striking looks, adorable face, and lively personality, Buddy is a fun and engaging companion for a family ready to match his energy and curiosity. He is such a cute and unique dog who is sure to bring joy to the right home. 💙🐾

Buddy is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Buddy originated from, upon rescue, he tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Buddy has completed his Heartworm treatment.

*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
