Vizsla and Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Chloe is a 1‐year‐old Vizsla/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile. Fully grown at 44 pounds, she’s the perfect medium‐sized companion for families who want a dog that’s affectionate, social, and always ready to brighten the room.

This girl is a true people lover. Whether she’s greeting new friends or leaning in for pets, Chloe radiates joy and warmth. She’s wonderful with children, dogs, and cats, making her an easy fit for a variety of homes. With other dogs, she just needs a day or two to settle in and set gentle boundaries — once she feels comfortable, her playful, goofy side comes out in full.

Her foster mom can’t say enough good things about her. Chloe had zero accidents in the house and was an absolute delight to care for. She’s polite, eager to please, and has that adorable little wiggle butt that makes every greeting feel like a celebration. If you’re looking for a sweet, social, well‐mannered young dog who’s ready to be your best friend, Chloe is your girl. She’s all love, all heart, and all wiggles.

Chloe is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Chloe originated from, upon rescue, she tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Chloe has completed her Heartworm treatment.

*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
