Total Adoption Fee: $695
This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $300 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits-such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds-help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible!

How many friends do you have with a natural mohawk? None? You are about to get one. Akstar has amazing hair with a natural mohawk that makes him look so unique. Shy at first, Akstar takes a minute to warm up but once he does, you are friends forever. We mean roll over and demand belly rubs friends forever. Akstar walks well on leash, fine with short or longer exploring types of walks, just show him the leash and he will jump up with his 'let's go' look.

Akstar has met respectful children 5-9 years old and he does well with slow introduction. He looks for them when he is outside. Akstar appears to be house and crate trained, knowing where to do his business.

At twelve pounds, this sweet boy is ready to go anywhere with you, and he doesn't demand that you carry him. He enjoys a soft blanket on the floor and has an amazing 'sofa height' jump to assure he is always available to his person.
