Meet Travis (aka Travvy), a ~12-lb, 1 year old, terrier mix with big personality packed into a tiny body and a heart that’s still learning the world is safe. Found as a stray and never claimed, Travvy came into foster care with a lot of fear—but wow, has he grown. He’s smart, learns quickly, is doing AMAZING with potty and crate training, and has discovered two of life’s greatest joys: toys and snuggles. He’s a certified couch buddy and would be thrilled to upgrade to sleeping in your bed someday. 🥹
Travvy will need a patient, dog-savvy home that’s willing to keep building his confidence. He can be easily startled and is still cautious with men and handling, so slow introductions and gentle leadership are key. He’ll need a fenced yard (leashes are still a mystery to him), and he’d love a playful, non-dominant canine friend—or a home where someone is around a lot if he’s the only dog. Because he’s still gaining confidence, he’d do best in a home without small children; cats are still an unknown.
Travvy isn’t a “plug-and-play” pup—he’s a diamond in the rough who will reward the right person with loyalty, laughs, and world-class snuggles. If you’re looking for a little dog with a big heart and you’re ready to be his safe place, Travvy might just be your guy. 💛
