After being rescued from street life, giving birth to and weaning a litter of adorable pups, and a month of recovery “me time,” Zellie is ready for her forever home.
This sweet little nugget has it all. She’s house trained, likes to go in the car, and walks on a leash like she’s done it her entire life. She loves to sleep with her human but will also sleep quietly through the night in a crate. On top of all that, she’s just as cute as a bug. She will dance on her hind legs for a treat!
Zellie is a bit frightened of strangers at first but toss her a few treats and she soon comes around.
Her favorite spot is a warm lap or her human’s bed pillow. She also likes the back of a couch, especially if there’s an outside view.
She enjoys playing with her two foster siblings but would probably be just as happy as an only dog. She’s curious about cats but otherwise ok. She hasn’t been around children but seems like she’d be ok with them if they gave her time and treats. Did I mention she loves treats?
She wasn’t used to dog food when she came to us, so we cooked her a mix of chicken, rice and vegetables, gradually introducing dry dog food. Now she will eat her kibble with a bit of chicken broth, though she still loves a savory topper when she gets tone.
She’s 13 pounds of sweetness and love and kisses, ready for a home of her very own.
