Reba didn't come to us quietly.
She came in broken.
Her face was covered in wounds. Her lower jaw was degloved. It was the kind of injury that makes your stomach drop. She underwent a complex surgery, and against the odds... she survived.
The community rallied. You asked us to fix her.
We did.
Her jaw has healed beautifully. She's eating, she's comfortable, and her next hurdle, heartworm treatment, is already scheduled. She's not done fighting, and neither are we.
What we've learned since then is this: Reba doesn't want to share her world with other dogs. After everything she's endured, she deserves to feel safe. We may never know what caused her injuries, but we do know she feels most secure as the only dog in the home.
Now it's someone else's turn to step up.
We've done the surgery. We're doing the treatment. We gave her back her chance.
Who will give her the quiet, dog-free home where she can finally rest?
Reba doesn't need saving anymore.
She needs belonging.
