Bella - Terrier Dog for Adoption in Lincoln, Nebraska

Bella is a 4 to 5 month old puppy who is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a puppy her age, happy go lucky, playful, snuggly, and always wanting to be near!

Bella made her way to us from an overcrowded shelter in Kansas. With the shelter running out of space and Bella at risk of finding herself in trouble simply because there were too many dogs and not enough places for them to go, she was pulled and brought into rescue.

When Bella arrived, she was also severely underweight and desperately needed some groceries. She’s been working on filling out in her foster home, but her rough start has definitely turned her into a bit of a food hound. If there’s something edible nearby, you can bet Bella knows about it! As she continues to learn that meals are something she can count on, we expect some of that urgency around food to improve.

Bella kennels well overnight and is doing well overall with potty training, although she hasn’t quite learned all the ropes yet. Her biggest obstacle? She’s an excited pee-er! Sometimes life and people, are just a little too exciting for her to contain herself. With time, consistency, and a little growing up, she’s well on her way.

In her foster home, Bella gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids. She loves to play, loves to snuggle, and has that sweet, goofy puppy personality that makes it pretty hard not to love her.

Bella will be spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccinated, Bordetella vaccinated, and receive age appropriate DAPP vaccines. She has also been started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Bella had a less than perfect start, but she certainly isn’t letting that slow her down. Now she just needs a family of her own to keep the good part of her story going.
