Lou is the definition of a happy little sidekick This silly, loving boy has never met a stranger and believes every person he sees is a new best friend. Whether he's proudly carrying around one of his stuffed toys, keeping watch from the couch window, or curling up beside you for a nap, Lou just wants to be close to his people. His foster says he'd crawl into your skin if he could - that's how much he loves being with you!

Lou has made huge strides in foster care, including improving his house training and becoming much more comfortable in his crate. He can still get a little overexcited around other dogs at times, so he may do best as the only pet or with a calm dog who can help him continue learning appropriate social skills. Despite overcoming a serious leg injury and a long healing journey, Lou hasn't let any of it dim his joyful spirit.

Because of his previous injury, Lou may always have a bit of an abnormal gait and could need pain management support as he gets older. He'll do best with a family who lets him move at his own pace on walks and helps him stay lean and healthy to protect his joints long term. In return, Lou promises endless love, laughter, cuddles, and the sweetest little toy deliveries you could ever ask for.
