This comical, acrobatic, and affectionate young fellow is Rico, a ten month old Terrier mix. Recently winning the gold medal in the downhill slalom, he loves jumping from snow drift to snow drift, enjoying the rush and accolades. When he’s not racing around the shelter grounds, he’s snuggled up in blankets with his toys nearby, chatting with the staff about the plans for the day. As much as he loves his caretakers, he’s eager to find his forever home, become part of a real family, and continue to learn and grow. Prepared to do his part to brighten every day, he’s literally sunshine on four little paws and a constantly wagging tail. If you want to welcome Rico into your life, don’t delay…..stop by to meet this Olympian today!
**Fun fact: a wolfdog named Nazgûl charmed audiences by crashing the women’s cross-country ski sprint at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. This viral “good boy” became a mascot and spurred fans to call for an honorary medal**
