Meet Powell!

This adorable 7.5 lb 12-week-old terrier mix puppy came to us from the Weslaco shelter in deep South Texas alongside Paloma, who we believe to be his mother. She weighs 28 lbs so we think he might reach this weight too.

Powell is just beginning his journey toward confidence and is looking for a family willing to help him blossom.

Powell appears to have had limited handling early in life, so he will need continued socialization and a patient, understanding home committed to helping him build trust. While he can be a little touch-and-go at first, he truly loves being held and wants affection—he just needs reassurance that people are safe, kind, and here to love him.

With time, patience, and proper guidance, Powell has all the potential to grow into a loyal and loving companion. If you’re ready to give this sweet boy the support he needs to thrive, Powell may be the perfect addition to your family.
