- Warms up to new friends quickly and LOVES being around her people; loves everyone but will likely pick a favorite person to bond with first in new environments
- Loves with all her heart and body; happy doing whatever her people are doing, whether that's exploring outside or chilling on the couch
- Can be unsure of strangers and will stay near her people to feel safe
- Would love plenty of space to run or trips to the dog park; working on walking politely on a leash
- Very treat and food-motivated and knows her name, sit, and commands to go to her kennel or bed
- Does well on car rides, even longer road trips
- Does great in her kennel and will go in on her own for quiet time; is used to being in her kennel while her foster family is away and overnight
- Foster family says she is potty trained and ill look at you and do the potty dance when she needs to go outside
- Foster family says she does not usually bark unless their other dog is barking
- Has gotten along with cats, respectful children and other dogs; has lived with a teenager and a small dog and has done well with a five-year-old
- Curious about the turkeys and guinea fowl in her foster home but will come when you call her and tell her to leave them alone
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
