Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Ladybug is a little terrier mix, about a year old and 13 pounds. She was found wandering around the parking lot of an apartment complex for several days. No one came forward to claim her, so now she’s safe with us and ready to find the home she deserves.

Ladybug is a sweet, silly girl who loves her foster mom and enjoys being close to her people. Like many terriers she has a bit of that playful, spunky personality, so some continued training and guidance will help her thrive.

She’s about 90% housebroken and walks nicely on leash. She doesn’t seem bothered by other dogs when out on walks. Ladybug warms up to women quickly and will warm up to men too with a little patience. Because she can get protective of high value items, she’s looking for an all adult home with no kids.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
