DESCRIPTION
Meet Boots!
Boots is an adorable 1.5-year-old lab/terrier mix with a gentle spirit. Although he can be a bit shy initially, his friendly nature shines through as he adjusts to life in a home. Rescued from Mexico, Boots prefers the comfort of a bed for sleeping at night rather than a crate, and he gets along well with other dogs. Weighing around 48 pounds, he is nearly potty trained, especially with a doggy door, and is learning commands like "sit," showing impressive recall when called by name.
While he may be timid during walks, particularly around loud noises, he tends to be cautious around men and may require gradual introductions. Although he hasn't been fostered with children, he has interacted with them at the park and is expected to thrive in a gentle and patient household. Boots has a playful side, often hiding his humans' shoes without chewing on them, and he enjoys frolicking in the yard. This loving pup is on his way to becoming an incredible family companion, eagerly seeking a nurturing and understanding home.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The terrier is a spirited and intelligent dog breed known for its feisty personality and boundless energy. Terriers come in various sizes and coat types, but they all share a common heritage as fearless and determined hunters. These dogs are typically highly trainable, making them versatile companions for active individuals and families alike. With their loyalty and playful demeanor, terriers are beloved for their endless enthusiasm and affectionate nature.
