Terrier and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Edamame (AKA Eddie)!
Eddie is an 8-year-old terrier mix with a heart full of joy and a personality that will keep you smiling. This happy, goofy guy absolutely loves life-especially when he has a soft, squeaky stuffy toy to shake around and show off!
Eddie gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers slow introductions so he can feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Once he settles in, his playful and easygoing nature really shines through. Based on his temperament, he's also expected to do well with cats.
Eddie's journey hasn't been the easiest-he was picked up as a stray at a local shelter, and sadly, no one ever came to reclaim him. But he hasn't let that dampen his spirit. He's still full of love and ready to find a forever home where he can finally belong.
This sweet, silly boy would do best in a home that will give him patience, kindness, and plenty of time to play with his favorite toys. In return, Eddie will reward you with laughter, companionship, and lots of tail wags.

Edamame is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $300.

Edamame is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. He will graduate from Paws in Prison on 5/23/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.

For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.
