Terrier and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Billie is a petite 13.4-pound mixed breed terrier with a big personality packed into a long, little body. This sweet girl was surrendered due to a lack of proper socialization, which led to some less-than-ideal behaviors in her previous home with the other dog. Since coming to HSOC, Billie has blossomed into a lovely little dog and we couldn't be prouder of her progress.

Billie picked up on the HSOC routine fairly quickly. She's learning that the wide variety of people she encounters can be kind to her and give her things she wants! Billie enjoys exploring, climbing into laps, and even climbing onto shoulders! She may be small, but she carries herself like a terrier through and through: curious, spunky, and full of heart.

Billie is doing better at warming up with people and other dogs already. A dog that will respect her space would be ideal when going home with another pup. A meet-and-greet will ensure a good match. We believe Billie would do best in a calmer home, with older children who can respect her boundaries and help her feel safe as she continues to come out of her shell. She can be cat-tested upon request.
