Meet Kuma Yama - a 2-year-old, 12-pound Terrier mix with a resilient spirit, a gentle heart, and a serious love for snacks.

Kuma's story started rough. He was found as a stray in heartbreaking condition - severely matted, covered in fleas, and suffering from an infected wound on his nose. It was clear he had been hurting for a long time. Despite everything, Kuma never gave up. After a much-needed haircut, medical care, and lots of love, he bounced back quickly and began showing everyone just how sweet he truly is.

Kuma can be a little anxious in new situations and appreciates a slow, patient approach while he learns to feel safe. But once he trusts you, his softer side shines through in the sweetest ways - quiet affection, loyal companionship, and loving little moments that make him impossible not to adore.

One of the fastest ways to Kuma's heart? Treats. This boy is very food motivated, which makes bonding with him both fun and rewarding. Whether it's snack time, training time, or just hanging out nearby in hopes of a treat, Kuma is always ready.

Although Kuma's previous owners were located, they had essentially given up on him and kept him as an "outside" dog without the care and attention he deserved. Now, Kuma is ready for a fresh start with a family who will give him the patience, comfort, and love he's always needed.

Kuma Yama has already overcome so much, and now he's looking for someone to show him what a safe, happy home truly feels like.

Adoption fee is: $400

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
