DESCRIPTION
If you have been looking for a small cuddle bug who likes to go for walks or just chill on your lap &/or just beside you on the couch; Buck may be the next addition to your family ! This is a very mellow little dog, a bit shy at first but when he warms up he just wants to be with his people! He currently sleeps in a crate with a couple of polar fleece blankets to snuggle under; but we understand he use to sleep with one of his kids. This little 6 pound dog is four years old, he was raised with a few children and other dogs [a 16# & 45# dog] & even a cat and so he seems to be ok with them all.
He alerts when someone is on the property or at the door but understands "ENOUGH" & stops barking. He is not yappy at all ! Buck is UTD on vaccines, is neutered, had his flea meds and has been to the groomers. In our climate he requires a t shirt or sweater AND a jacket when out for walks , he struts his stuff when on leash & has been for 2 mile walks with us regularly. His house manners have come a long way & he is nearly there with his potty training. Very few mistakes inside. He goes to the door when he needs out but he is very quiet so you'll need to be alert to his movements- he is extremely quiet ! He uses a doggie door [or a cat door if you have one of those]
As far as what his breed he is ? Thats always a guess with a rescue ...."Mal Chi" maltese/chihuahua Or terrier/chihuahua ? Either Is a good guess.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The terrier is a spirited and intelligent dog breed known for its feisty personality and boundless energy. Terriers come in various sizes and coat types, but they all share a common heritage as fearless and determined hunters. These dogs are typically highly trainable, making them versatile companions for active individuals and families alike. With their loyalty and playful demeanor, terriers are beloved for their endless enthusiasm and affectionate nature.
