Terrier and Chihuahua Dogs Available for Adoption

Shadow is a gentle, sensitive dog who bonds deeply. He's very sweet and attaches tightly to his people. One he loves you he is very loyal and loving.

He was rescued from the Central Valley, from a home that paid little or no attention to him when he was a puppy. He spent hours and days alone so he never figured out that the outside world is a fun place to be in. But once he's safe he will be. your forever dog and his sweet loving personality shines.

We adore Shadow because we can see what a great dog he is. He forms deep bonds, and shows genuine affection, and enjoys quiet companionship — often choosing to relax close to his person. He is friendly with other dogs once he’s comfortable in the space and absolutely loves toys, which bring out his playful side.
Shadow is house-trained, crate-trained, He's never shown any aggression, but needs a little time to warm up to other dogs if you already have a dog, we will have to do a few meet and greets to introduce them.

He would do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with a securely fenced yard and an adopter who values gentle, trust-based progress over time. Experience with dogs is must.
Shadow is looking for someone willing to support and love him as he continues to grow and gain confidence in the outside world.

He's fantastic at home and he will be a great companion. We think he might even be perfect for a retired senior who loves sitting in the yard gardening. Or on a farm or ranch. He's really a sweetheart, and we love him. He's neutered and up to date on all shots. We suggest you do a trial foster first to make sure it's a match. We love him. We think you will too.
