Irish Bailey is an 1-year old, 70 lb, male, Terrier/Bull Terrier mix.
Irish Bailey is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home.
This big boy with the cute ears is Irish Bailey (just because that sounded better than Texas Bailey), and he has a story to tell! He was rescued while running loose on the highway, scared and injured. Thankfully he is safe now and healed from his injuries, and he is a happy camper. Bailey is a friendly guy, and shared his first foster home with the resident dog and some foster cats, as well as young children, and he did well with the dog and the kids (very limited interaction with the cats). Bailey is enjoying life in his new foster home, he became friends with the resident dogs and really enjoys the fenced in backyard. Irish Bailey can be a bit bossy, so although he is friendly and playful, a home where he is the only dog may be better suited for him, unless the resident dog was a calm, older dog, one that wouldn't mind if Bailey was the leader. He enjoys being able to go on walks, but due to the car injury he would not be an ideal candidate for sports such as running or agility. But he would definitely enjoy some nice walks or leisurely hikes where he could get some fresh air and sunshine. Bailey is potty trained and crate trained too. He has learned basic obedience and his foster mom says he is doing well and enjoys training sessions (must be the bacon treats!). This guy is happy to be safe and loved, and though the breed can be a bit on the stubborn side, he is a smart and loving dog, and he just needs a little patience and a good human leader he can love, snuggle with and follow.
