Dutch is a 2½-year-old Standard Poodle weighing about 77 pounds (with a goal of getting him closer to a healthier 60). This handsome guy is as sweet as they come, with a calm, mild-mannered personality that makes him an easy fit for just about any home.
He came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him, and he’s been settling into rescue life beautifully.
Dutch is fully potty trained and does great in his crate, making him a low-maintenance addition to your routine. Around the house, he’s typically quiet and relaxed, happy to lounge and keep you company without demanding constant attention.
That said, he does have one adorable quirk — he likes to “sing” or howl a little when he’s looking for his person, just to make sure you know he’s ready for some snuggles. It’s his sweet way of saying, “Hey… where’d you go?”
Dutch takes life at a slower pace. It doesn’t take much to get him interested in play, but when he does engage, his style is gentle and easygoing — just like him. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, does great with cats, enjoys car rides, and doesn’t mind having his nails trimmed.
Overall, Dutch is a happy, affectionate, and incredibly kind dog who just wants to be near his people and enjoy the simple things in life.

Dutch’s adoption fee is $800, which is tax-deductible. To apply to adopt Dutch, please send an email with the subject line “Dutch”. He will go home with a collar and leash, two food bowls, some food, treats, a toy, and all of his medical records and microchip information to help make his transition to his forever home smooth and easy.
