Meet Vinny

Vinny was saved just in time from a Texas shelter in 2024 by a rescue partner. He remained in foster care with our rescue partner since then, but this sweet boy wasn't getting the exposure he needed to find a home. Now he is at Melissa's Second Chances and ready for his second chance.

Vinny is a friendly, affectionate doodle with that typical mix of playful energy and loyalty. He enjoys being around people and does well with other large dogs with proper introductions. He can also live with cats.

He is house trained, kennel trained, and overall has a solid foundation in a home. Like many dogs, he's still working on some leash reactivity and can get overstimulated when he sees other dogs on walks. He will need an adopter who can continue working with him and provide consistency.

Vinny will require a secure 6 ft fence, as he has been known to jump shorter fences.

He would do best in a home with a family that understands his need for structure, exercise, and regular grooming. Vinny is kid friendly.

Vinny is a really good dog who just needs the right setup to thrive. With the right home, he's going to be an incredibly fun and loyal companion.
