ZOEY PLAYFUL EASY GOING GAL

Staffordshire Bull Terrier
🇺🇸
Friendswood, Texas
March 5th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Zoey is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 47 adorable pounds. She appears to be a pittie or staffie mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. What isn’t a guess? She has a lovely balance of playful energy and easygoing independence.

In her foster home, Zoey lives among a group of five dogs and is familiar with playgroup life. Her foster describes her as playful but also perfectly content to do her own thing, whether that is playing with a ball or laying in the sun. It’s a nice mix of social and self-sufficient that many homes appreciate. She enjoys the company of other dogs but doesn’t need to be in the middle of the action every moment of the day.
When meeting new dogs, Zoey can feel a bit unsure at first and may take a little time to settle in. Once things slow down and the energy around her feels calm, she relaxes nicely and is happy to coexist. Dogs with easygoing personalities who respect her space bring out her best. Her foster shared that Zoey’s natural instinct is to walk away from tension rather than escalate it, which is always a lovely quality to see.

Zoey is also reported to live in a home with a cat present. While the dogs and cat mainly coexist with a bit of space between them, she has shown that she can remain calm and uninterested when the cat is nearby. We saw that same approach when Zoey met our housecat. Her approach is respectfully cautious and shows signs that she could live peacefully with a feline friend.

On leash, Zoey shines. She walks beautifully and stays relaxed beside her person, making neighborhood strolls feel easy and enjoyable. Her foster also reports that she is quiet in the home and not a vocal dog, which is wonderful news for anyone living in close quarters or an apartment setting.
Zoey does not live with kids but has met childen when on walks and her approach is friendly and polite. Her playful and gentle nature show us a dog that would be a wonderful family pet and a dreamy playmate for kids Occasionally her greetings can be a little bouncy but it isnt rowdy, simply happy and at best would need a little guidance and consistency.

Zoey brings a steady presence to a home. Her love for people and calm company is a dreamy combo. Add onto that her perfectly balanced playful spark and this girl promises to help keep life fun without overwhelming the house.

If Zoey sounds like the missing piece in your family, we would love to hear from you! This thoughtful, playful girl is ready and waiting for you!
