From Forgotten to Hopeful: Soda Pop’s Second Chance ?
He wandered the streets alone, searching for scraps and kindness. When someone finally took him in, Soda Pop thought his luck had changed. But instead of a warm home, he found himself in an overcrowded Texas shelter—just another number on a list no one wanted to see. His time was running out.
That’s when we stepped in.
Soda Pop is only 4 years old, but he’s already known heartbreak. And yet, he still greets you with a wagging tail and eyes full of hope. He’s gentle, submissive, and just wants to be loved. He’s playful—he hoards toys like treasures—and he’ll look at you like you hung the moon if you offer him a soft place to land.
He’s neutered, fully vetted, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has had entropion surgery to ease his eye discomfort. His leaky eye still tears up with the seasons—just a quick tissue wipe and he’ll gaze at you with gratitude.
Soda Pop is crate trained, house trained, and eats in his crate, which he considers his safe haven. He gets along with other dogs but would thrive as your one-and-only or with a gentle companion who understands his soft spirit. He may jump with joy when you come home—so small children should be mindful—but it’s nothing a little patience and love can’t guide.
He’s not perfect. He’s better. He’s real. He’s resilient. And he’s ready.
