This stunning boy didn’t always know kindness. Malibu found himself in a Houston kill shelter, facing the unthinkable—no microchip, not neutered, and clearly not cared for by the humans who were supposed to protect him. Discarded and left to fend for himself on the streets, his life was hanging by a thread when Animal Control stepped in.
And then… everything changed.
When we got involved, Malibu’s story took a turn toward hope. He is now fully vetted, safe, and finally surrounded by people who believe his life matters. At approximately 4 years old, Malibu is heartworm positive, but he’s already on the road to recovery. He has received his ProHeart 12 injection and is currently completing 30 days of doxycycline as part of the slow-kill treatment protocol.
Despite everything he’s been through, Malibu’s spirit shines. He is playful, sweet, and deeply affectionate, soaking up human interaction like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. Once he settles in, his demeanor is calm and gentle—but you can still see the joy and excitement of a dog who knows he’s been given a second chance.
Malibu is ready for his next adventure—and a family to call his own.
