Mushu is incredibly affectionate and lives for cuddles and belly rubs. He has a classic Shih Tzu strut and an adorable "bunny hop" when he follows his favorite people around the house. He is the perfect companion who just wants to be wherever you are. While he is happy to nap in his own bed, he truly shines when he is participating in the daily rhythm of a calm household.

In his foster home, Mushu has been an absolute angel. He is house-trained and remarkably quiet—his fosters haven't heard him bark once! He is respectful and submissive with other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. Because he is slightly vision impaired, he can be a little sensitive to sudden movements above his head and may miss a step on the stairs. Because of this, he would feel safest in a single-story home or an environment where he doesn't have to navigate many steps.

Mushu's ideal forever home is a peaceful one. He would do best with a single person, a couple, or a family with older, respectful children who can provide a predictable environment. He is fine being an only dog but also enjoys the company of other gentle, friendly pups. A yard where he can sniff the grass and soak up the sun would be his version of heaven.
