Shih Tzu Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Jack #2 (please reference #2 when applying, we have two Jack's right now), an almost 12-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a tender heart and so much love still to give. Jack has been deeply cherished his whole life and is now looking for a new person after the passing of his beloved mom.Even during a difficult time, Jack greeted emergency workers with hopeful tail wags and was always polite and gentle with visiting nurses and caregivers. That same love and trust in people is still very much a part of who he is. Jack is used to a calm, adult home and would be happiest as an only pet, though he’s shown friendly curiosity toward other dogs while out and about. He’s a little pudgy—he loves treats, and they were one of the ways his mom could show love when she wasn’t able to do much more. He is house-trained, adores cuddling, and is accustomed to having someone with him most of the time. Right now, Jack is grieving. He looks for his mom and cries, and he will need a kind, patient person willing to offer grace and reassurance as he adjusts to this new chapter.
