Meet Katie

Katie is a 7-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing about 14 lbs, and she's the newest little lady to join our rescue family. While she's still settling in, we were able to learn a lot about her from her previous owners and she sounds like a wonderful companion.

Katie is said to do well with dogs, cats, and even chickens, making her a great fit for many different types of homes. She's also pad trained and will benefit from continued guidance as she transitions to a potty routine in her new home.

This sweet girl is loving and devoted to her family. She has a protective nature, but she's not aggressive she simply likes to let you know when someone is nearby. Shih Tzu mixes are known for being affectionate, loyal, and happiest when they're close to their people. They thrive on companionship and love being included in everyday family life.

As Katie settles into rescue, we're excited to continue learning more about her personality. We have no doubt this sweet girl will make an incredible companion for one lucky family.
