Meet Gino!

Gino is a 2-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu with a happy spirit and a heart full of love to give. This handsome little guy was found as a stray in Detroit and sadly was never reclaimed, but he hasn't let his past dim his bright personality.

Gino is a sweet and cheerful boy who absolutely loves attention and being near his people. He enjoys going for walks on a leash, but he also appreciates the freedom to run and explore in a securely fenced yard. Because of this, he would not be a good fit for a tether system.

Gino has done well with other dogs and doesn't seem bothered by cats. He would likely do well with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to respectfully interact with a small dog.

This little guy is already off to a great start with his manners. Gino is crate trained and has shown a good understanding of house manners when kept on a routine. Like most Shih Tzus, he will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best.

At just two years old, Gino still has plenty of young, puppy-like energy, so he would love an active family that will include him in daily activities and adventures.

Most of all, Gino is looking for a forever family who will love him the way he deserves and give him the happy ending he's been waiting for.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
