Tofu is a playful boy who especially loves chasing and playing with rubber balls. He is fearful with unfamiliar people and dogs and may bark or growl when he feels uncomfortable, so he’ll benefit from a patient family who can give him space and time to warm up. He communicates his discomfort clearly and respecting his boundaries will be important. He has lived with other dogs and does well with a female puppy but didn't do well with the larger male and may not appreciate highly energetic or excited dogs. While Tofu has lived with a nine year old, it took him awhile to get comfortable and would do best in a mature home. He is crate trained, typically free roams without being destructive, and may occasionally have a potty accident if left alone for a full workday. Tofu is looking for an understanding home that can help him build confidence around unfamiliar people, animals, and new situations.
