Shih Tzu and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

There is a tiny black-and-white shadow currently seeking full-time employment as your personal companion. Her name is Oreo Cookie, and she takes her job very seriously.

At just 9 pounds and around 2 years old, this little Shih Tzu-ish darling is less "dog" and more "mysterious house cat in a dog suit." She glides up to you and gently rubs against your legs. She studies you. She decides you are acceptable. And then-congratulations-you belong to her.

Oreo takes a minute to warm up (she prefers a proper introduction), but once you're in, you are in. She is a certified Velcro dog who believes personal space is a myth and that your lap, your feet, your general orbit should be her permanent address. If you've been hoping for a companion who wants to be with you 24/7, she is ready to clock in.

Car rides? Her favorite. She lights up like she's headed to a gala. Errands, road trips, coffee runs-Oreo says yes.

Great on leash
Happy with other dogs
Compact and delightfully portable

She is also:
A bit skittish in busy environments
Not a match for homes with young children
Quite vocal when she has feelings (and she does have opinions)
Not suited for apartment living

Oreo would thrive in a calmer home with adults or older teens, where she can settle in, bond deeply, and become someone's devoted little shadow. She doesn't need chaos. She needs her person.
