Meet Bailey!
Bailey is a 5 year old Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as her adorable, wagging tail. Currently about 16 lbs (and working toward a healthier 12 lbs), this sweet girl is ready for a fresh start with a family who will love her every step of the way.
When Bailey came to us, she had been severely matted and significantly overweight—but despite everything she’s been through, her spirit is nothing short of amazing. She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and happiest when she’s being held or snuggled close. Bailey is a true lap dog who just wants to soak up all the love you have to give.
She enjoys her walks (complete with the cutest little waddle!) and would benefit from a family committed to helping her reach a healthy weight through gentle exercise and proper care. With the right support, Bailey is going to feel better than ever—and she’ll be right by your side through it all.
Bailey can be a tiny bit shy when first meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your little shadow. Her tail is almost always wagging, and her happy, easygoing personality makes her a joy to be around.
She is crate trained and does great going to the bathroom outside when kept on a routine. She’s also dog and cat friendly, getting along well with everyone, though she’d especially enjoy a calmer companion.
At night, Bailey is the perfect cuddle buddy—she loves sleeping in bed with her people and will snooze peacefully right by your side all night long.
Bailey is up to date on vaccines, will be spayed, and comes with a health certificate. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companion to share your days (and your bed!), Bailey is ready to bring endless love into your life.
