FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.
Scarlett is a beautiful lady who is dreaming of a forever home. She is a tender hearted girl who is a friend to everyone. Scarlett's gentle nature is one of her many wonderful qualities. She is a very special soul.
Scarlett is a great family dog. She has always been allowed to sleep on the bed with her people and we would like to see that invitation extended in her adoptive home. Scarlett loves to be included in the family plans, whether it's being cozy on the couch, going for walks or going for car rides, she is so grateful to be a part of the plan. Scarlett has lived peacefully with dogs, cats and dog savvy children. She is very thoughtful about her surroundings and has impeccable manners in every situation.
Scarlett recently received a Senior Wellness Exam and had a dental with extractions. In November of 2019 she had surgery for bilateral TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) and made a complete recovery. Scarlett should be on joint supplements and fish oil lifelong to add support to joint comfort. She is 10 years old and weigh 56 pounds.
Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
