Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Kona!
This stunning, gentle 6 year old shepherd came to FAPL from a home environment and is so ready to find that forever happiness once again. In his previous home, Kona was good with other dogs and cats, too. Kona has spent the last few weeks in an amazing foster home and he has been a wonderful house guest!!

From foster:
“Kona has been one of the best and most entertaining dogs I have had the privilege of fostering. His love language is grumbles and kisses! He is such a talkative boy so there is never a dull moment with him. This boy has had no accidents in my home, has not torn anything up, and he is great with my dogs and cats. He knows sit and lay down and is an amazing treat catcher. He is absolutely perfect! He is a big boy and loveeees walks so he does pull a little on the leash. Kona is very fearful and timid at the shelter so will be staying in foster until his perfect home can be found.”

No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption.

If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.

Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
