Joanie - Shepherd Dog Available for Adoption in Douglasville, Georgia

JOANIE

Shepherd
🇺🇸
Douglasville, Georgia
June 2nd
female, large, young

DESCRIPTION

Sweet, sensitive, and looking for a steady home

Joanie is a young dog with a sweet nature and a busy mind. She likes affection, has been described as very willing and gentle on leash, and seems to be the kind of dog who wants connection. At the same time, she's clearly a more anxious girl who stays on alert and can get focused on finding a way out when she feels overwhelmed.

She's easy to leash and handle, may be house-trained, and has shown interest in toys, though staying focused can be hard for her when she's feeling stressed. The biggest thing to know is that Joanie is a climber and escape risk, so she'll need careful supervision outside and a secure setup. She is not a dog to leave unattended in a yard.

Joanie will likely do best with an adopter who can give her structure, patience, and help her feel safe while she settles in. She seems like a nice dog who just needs the right environment and management. If you have room for a sensitive young dog and understand that secure containment matters, come meet Joanie. We are open to the public Tuesday - Sunday (1PM - 5PM)! No Appointments required!
