Meet Summit, a gentle senior German Shepherd with a heart as big as his smile. After being found by one of our dedicated Belles Buds Rescue fosters, Summit is finally getting the love, comfort, and second chance he deserves.

Summit is the definition of an easygoing companion. He enjoys leisurely walks, chasing a tennis ball every now and then, and spending most of his day relaxing nearby. One of his favorite things in the world is riding in the car with his head out the window, happily taking in all the sights and smells. His adorable little ears and constant smile have everyone falling in love with him.

He is house trained, quiet indoors, walks well on a leash, and already knows “sit.” While he may have some age-related hip discomfort and is still working on gaining weight, he doesn't let that stop him from enjoying life. His calm, gentle personality makes him an excellent companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend rather than an energetic hiking partner.

Summit is currently settling into foster care, and we're continuing to evaluate how he does with other animals. At this time, we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in the home while he continues to decompress and build confidence. Cats and children are currently unknown.

His ideal home is a peaceful one where he can enjoy daily walks, plenty of naps, and all the love he's missed over the years. If you're looking for a devoted companion who simply wants to be by your side, Summit is ready to spend his golden years making up for lost time.
