DESCRIPTION
Meet Mr. Shadow, who's the cutest shadow I've ever seen! He's a sweet boy who's about 6 years old and fully grown at 84 lbs. He's a gentle giant and is rather well-behaved! He is house-trained, kennel-trained, and walks amazingly on a loose leash. Mr. Shadow previously lived with 3 cats, whom he ignored, and with young children, whom he was very friendly with! Mr. Shadow didn't live with other dogs, but he has done well off-leash around other large dogs. If you already have a resident dog, KHS offers dog-to-dog introductions to ensure it's a good fit before adopting! Mr. Shadow isn't the most active dog, and he prefers to spend most of his time lazing around. He treats his kennel as his "safe space", and his previous owners told us that they would leave the kennel door open for him to use freely. Mr. Shadow's favorite things are snuggles, playing tug-of-war, and going on walks! He's looking for an adopter who will be his new cuddle-buddy and take him on daily walks. Think this big baby is meant to be yours? Visit Mr. Shadow today! ...
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
