DESCRIPTION
Moose is an approximately 13-week-old shepherd mix from the reservation and the brother of Rocco. With his soft fluffy coat, oversized puppy paws, and sweet soulful eyes, Moose is every bit as handsome as he is lovable. We aren't exactly sure what breeds make up this adorable boy - possibly Shepherd mixed with Husky, Malamute, or Shiba Inu - but one thing is certain: he is going to grow into a big, beautiful dog.
Moose has a gentle, affectionate personality and absolutely adores people. He loves being close to his humans, following the kids around the house, soaking up attention, and handing out puppy kisses whenever he can. The children in his foster home absolutely love him, and he has been wonderful with them.
Like any young puppy, Moose is still learning the ropes and is currently in his teething stage, so chew toys are definitely appreciated. He is doing great with other dogs and cats and has a very easygoing, sweet nature.
Moose would make a wonderful family dog and is ready to find a home where he can grow up loved and included in all of life's adventures.
Apply to adopt at campcompanion.org
Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
Moose gets neutered May 13 and can be adopted this weekend.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
