DESCRIPTION
Meet Primo - a fluffy pup with German Shepherd coloring and a mystery-mix twist! Found as a stray with his litter in Batesville, another rescue reached out to ARPO for help, and this big boy has been stealing hearts ever since. Hes the largest of his siblings, though most of his size is pure fluff. Still a very young puppy, Primo is incredibly smart and already catching on to commands.
He loves being outside, so a fenced yard would be ideal. True to puppy form, he plays hard, roughhouses, zooms, and then promptly crashespreferably snuggled up against his people. Primo is great with kids, cats, and other dogs (especially ones willing to wrestle and play!). Hes crate trained and keeps his crate clean, though full potty training is still a work in progress. Sweet, eager to learn, and full of love, Primo is ready to grow up with his forever family
If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website at arporescue.org to learn more about our adoption process and complete our adoption application. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
