Foster Insights / Backstory:
Kodak’s story is one of survival, second chances, and a dog who simply never had anyone truly looking out for him.

This sweet boy ended up in a high-kill shelter more than once after being allowed to wander the streets for much of his life. He arrived matted, ungroomed, and clearly lacking the basic care every dog deserves. When his previous owners did not reclaim him, shelter staff recognized the neglect he had been living with and thankfully, this time a rescue stepped in to give him the life he deserves.

Despite everything he’s been through, Kodak has shown a remarkably gentle and kind nature. He is understandably a little timid as he adjusts to a new world where people are finally being kind to him. Every day he grows a bit braver as he learns that he is safe now.

Kodak is a beautiful, soulful dog who simply needs patience and a calm, loving home to help him continue gaining confidence. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality begins to shine through. He enjoys being near his people, going for walks, and discovering what it means to finally be cared for.

For most of his life, Kodak had to figure things out on his own. Now he deserves a family who will show him stability, kindness, and the love he has been missing all along. With a little patience and understanding, Kodak has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
